David Gleason composes and arranges music in a wide variety of styles including for his own jazz groups, solo piano, vocal ensembles, Latin ensembles, large jazz ensemble, educational ensembles and for the theatre. Education
In addition to teaching music theory, music history, and classroom piano at Schenectady High School, David Gleason also teaches collaboration, presentation and academic writing to honors students and is an adjunct instructor of Ethnomusicology and Jazz Piano at SUNY Schenectady. In the past he has also taught jazz ensembles, world drumming and choir. He is available for private jazz and Latin piano lessons, as well as improvisation lessons. Additionally he is in demand as a festival conductor, clinician and pit conductor.
